SK Telecom(SKT) denied an international hacking group's claims that it had stolen customer data, calling the allegations “completely untrue.”

The company said Tuesday that an analysis of sample data, screenshots of the website the group had purported to breach and other materials hackers had posted on the dark web revealed that their claims were false, adding that the screenshotted website did not exist.

The company also said that the 100 gigabytes of data the hackers claimed to have stolen had never been leaked.

Scattered Lapsus$, an international hacking group, posted on its Telegram channel on Monday that it was selling 100 gigabytes of SKT customer data for ten-thousand U.S. dollars.

The group claimed that the dataset included sensitive information such as customer IDs, names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, dates of birth and subscription dates.
