Gov't to Hold Ceremony Sat. Marking 6th Youth Day

The Office for Government Policy Coordination will hold a ceremony Saturday evening to mark the sixth Youth Day.

Some 300 people will attend the event at the presidential compound of Cheong Wa Dae, including Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, Cabinet members and youths from various fields.

In a video message, President Lee Jae Myung is expected to pledge efforts to guarantee greater opportunities for youths, offer state support as they join the workforce while fulfilling their basic needs in housing and education.

A number of other events are scheduled nationwide until Friday, such as a youth policy exhibit near Seoul City Hall, a general assembly of youths in Daegu on Tuesday for discussions on ways to tackle low births, and a performance by youths in Sokcho, Gangwon Province on Thursday.
