The government will survey more than 300 South Korean workers who were arrested and detained by U.S. immigration authorities during a raid of an under-construction battery plant in Georgia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice, as well as related businesses, will question 316 workers about their ordeal from Monday through September 29.

The workers, some of whom claim to have faced human rights violations during their week in detention, will be sent survey links by text message and email and can participate in separate interviews if they choose.

Through the survey, the government intends to learn more about difficulties the workers may have experienced while in detention and share any findings with the United States.
