Following his keynote speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on the 23rd, President Lee Jae Myung held separate meetings with the presidents of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic.

Lee first met with Uzbekistan’s president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the chairperson’s office at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where the two discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between their governments.

Lee then met with Petr Pavel, president of the Czech Republic.

During the meeting, Lee referred to a previous call the two leaders held in July and mentioned that Prague is well-known in South Korea. Pavel, in response, shared that he often encounters South Korean tourists on his way to work.

Immediately after delivering his keynote, Lee met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres to discuss his plan to reach peace on the Korean Peninsula.
