U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly has no current plans to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a senior White House official, that the United States is maintaining its goal of the “complete denuclearization of North Korea” and that Trump has no plans to negotiate with Kim at this time.

The report came after the North Korean leader signaled that he was open to dialogue with the U.S. if Washington were to stop insisting on denuclearization. 

However, the top diplomats of South Korea, the United States and Japan reaffirmed their resolute commitment to the complete denuclearization of North Korea in a joint statement following a three-way meeting in New York on Monday.

Trump also made no mention of North Korea during his address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
