Rockbridge Network, a donor-backed political coalition co-founded by U.S. Vice President JD Vance in 2019, is set to launch a regional think tank in South Korea.

Political and business sources said Wednesday that Rockbridge Network Korea had recently convened a founding assembly and begun procedures to establish a public trust.

Former ruling Democratic Party Supreme Council member and Rep. Kim Hae-young, who was named chairperson, stressed the need for politics based on dialogue, compromise and research.

The board also includes former Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, former Finance Minister Bahk Jae-wan and Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin.

Rockbridge Network Korea will focus on policy development through research concerning diplomacy, trade and industry.
