The Korean Institute for Healthy Family, under the gender equality ministry, will expand the multilingual service on its support portal as a resource for multicultural and foreign families living in South Korea.

The agency announced Thursday that it will offer information on its Danuri portal in 16 languages starting Friday, an increase from the current 13.

The portal provides information regarding visa programs, citizenship and naturalization, Korean culture, childbirth and child-rearing, education, health services, social security and employment.

The institute has signed a business agreement to enhance its promotion of the portal site at related agencies and other partner institutions in a bid to increase usage and accessibility.
