Ruling Democratic Party(DP) leader Jung Chung-rae instructed party officials to draw up support measures after online government systems shut down due to a fire at a national data infrastructure center in Daejeon Friday night.

Jung's instruction was announced by the party in a press notice Saturday.

On his social media account, the DP chief said he ordered the party secretary general and the party's senior member on the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee to closely consult on ways for the party to offer support to the government.

Jung then promised all-out efforts to ensure a swift normalization of the government systems.

DP policy chief Han Jeoung-ae also posted on social media that the ruling party will closely observe the situation for the government to concentrate on its response measures and to devise ways for the party to provide support.
