The government announced that it has restored 20 out of 36 top-priority systems affected by a fire at the National Information Resources Service in Daejeon last Friday.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, as of 6 a.m. Tuesday, 83 of the 647 affected systems have been restored.
This brings the recovery rate of the critical Grade 1 systems to 55-point-six percent.
The government plans to release the full list of all 647 systems affected by the blaze later Tuesday.
In a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters on Tuesday, Interior Minister Yoon Ho-jung promised transparency to the public by disclosing updates on the recovery progress.
Yoon also warned of potential risks of cybercrime, like smishing and phishing scams impersonating government agencies, which could increase in connection with the blaze and urged authorities to work closely to prevent these risks and crimes.
