Former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has appeared for the first hearing of his trial on charges of aiding and abetting former President Yoon Suk Yeol’s martial law declaration.

The former prime minister arrived at the Seoul Central District Court in southern Seoul around 9:30 a.m. for the hearing set for 10 a.m. 

Han entered the courthouse without responding to reporters’ questions regarding allegations against him.

The first hearing will be fully filmed and broadcast, an allowance the court granted at the prosecution's request.

However, surveillance footage of the presidential office on the day of the December 3 martial law imposition will be excluded from the broadcasts.
