A week after a fire at the National Information Resources Service disrupted hundreds of government online services, 110 of 647 affected systems have been restored.

Interior Minister Yun Ho-jung made the announcement during a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters at the government complex in Seoul on Thursday.

According to Yun, 17 percent of impacted services were back up and running as of 6 a.m.

The minister acknowledged that the current pace of recovery has fallen short of public expectations but emphasized that the government has mobilized all available personnel and resources, including private experts and research institute staff, to expedite the restoration.

He added that the government will continue working tirelessly throughout the Chuseok holiday period to ensure the full recovery of all systems.
