Talks are reportedly underway between Seoul and Washington to arrange a visit to South Korea later this month for U.S. President Donald Trump to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Gyeongju.

KBS learned from an official from the ruling camp on Saturday that discussions about his travel schedule are ongoing and he may arrive October 29.

The summit is set to run from October 31 to November 1.

Before coming to South Korea, the U.S. president is expected to attend a leaders’ gathering hosted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Malaysia, then visit Japan on October 28.
