A total of 284 online government services had been restored as of Monday evening, more than two weeks after a fire at a state data center in Daejeon disrupted 709 administrative systems.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, the overall restoration rate reached 40-point-one percent as of 9 p.m. Monday.

Among the systems restored that day were the Ministry of Data and Statistics’ administrative data integration system and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s resident registration support system.

Recovery progress for the government’s highest-priority systems, classified as grade one, now stands at 77-point-five percent, with 31 out of 40 systems back online.

The blaze broke out at the National Information Resources Service on the night of September 26, reportedly after a worker attempted to replace a lithium battery.
