More than half of all online government services have been restored, after they were disrupted by a fire at a national data infrastructure center in Daejeon three weeks earlier.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, 357 of the 709 affected administrative systems, or 50-point-four percent, had been restored as of 9 p.m. Friday.

Systems normalized on Friday include the library management system under the Ministry of Data and Statistics, as well as the business portal and website for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources.

Authorities said 77-point-five percent of the top-priority Grade 1 systems were back in operation, while the recovery rate for Grade 2 systems stood at 60-point-three percent.

The blaze at the National Information Resources Service broke out around 8:20 p.m. on September 26, after a worker tried to replace a lithium battery.
