Nation Sees Coldest Morning of Season on Monday

South Korea experienced its coldest morning of the season on Monday, with temperatures dipping significantly across the country and rain in the forecast.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning lows dropped to around five degrees Celsius in central regions and ten degrees in southern areas, falling by five to ten degrees from the previous day.

The agency reported that temperatures fell to five-point-three degrees in Seoul, two-point-seven degrees in Paju and minus one-point-three degrees on Mount Seorak in Gangwon Province.

Afternoon highs will range between eleven and 22 degrees, about two to seven degrees below the seasonal average.

The cold weather is expected to continue through Wednesday.
