President Lee to Visit Malaysia Sunday, Monday for ASEAN Summit

President Lee Jae Myung will make a two-day trip to Malaysia to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) Summit.

National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac said during a news conference on Friday that Lee will depart for Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

On the first day of the visit, Lee will hold a dinner meeting with South Korean residents of the city.

On Monday, Lee will hold summit talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet to discuss the strategic partnership between the nations and pending issues, including online scams.

The president will then attend the South Korea-ASEAN summit, where he will present a blueprint for advancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides. 

He will also participate in a meeting of the ASEAN-Plus-Three, also involving China and Japan, where he will emphasize cooperation among the regional bloc.
