A month after a fire at a state data center in Daejeon disrupted 709 online administrative systems, 514 government services have been restored.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, that was the total as of 9 a.m. Sunday, for an overall recovery rate of 72-point-five percent.

Among the systems newly restored were the trade, industry and resources ministry’s cyber library and the website of the Economic, Social and Labor Council.

The progress of the recovery efforts for the government’s highest-priority systems, classified as Grade 1, now stands at 85 percent, with 34 of the 40 systems back online.

The recovery rate for the 68 Grade 2 systems stands at 76-point-five percent.

The blaze broke out at the National Information Resources Service on the night of September 26, reportedly after a worker attempted to replace a lithium battery.
