The Seoul government has donated 30,000 dollars to Vietnam to help the nation fight bird flu.

The South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam visited the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to deliver the donation Wednesday.

The South Korean Embassy in Hanoi says the funds, raised by the state-run Korea International Cooperation Agency, are expected to go toward Vietnam's campaign to prevent the outbreak of bird flu.

The agency has been funding various projects in Vietnam, including the construction of hospitals and the dispatch of Korean doctors to the Southeast Asian nation.
