The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) CEO Summit has opened on a record-breaking scale, bringing together approximately one-thousand-700 global business leaders.

The four-day summit kicked off Wednesday morning with an opening ceremony at Gyeongju Arts Center, hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with President Lee Jae Myung and top domestic and international business leaders in attendance.

This year’s summit is the largest in history in terms of sessions, speakers and participating leaders, drawing attendees from 21 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The event includes 20 sessions with roughly 70 speakers discussing key topics such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, carbon neutrality, regional economic integration, finance and biotechnology.

Foreign heads of state, starting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, will also take the stage.
