U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday said the trade agreement between Seoul and Washington is "pretty much finalized," following his summit with President Lee Jae Myung in Gyeongju.

During a dinner speech after the Korea-U.S. summit—held during APEC Economic Leaders' Week — Trump remarked that he had a "tremendous meeting" with South Korea, adding that "a lot was determined."

While the two sides have yet to bridge all differences over the three-hundred-fifty-billion-dollar investment package, officials suggest substantial progress has been made toward narrowing the gap.

Trump also noted that the talks covered national security issues, hinting that defense cost-sharing and North Korea were among the topics discussed.

Looking ahead, Trump said he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping tomorrow and expressed optimism that the encounter will produce a result "very satisfactory" to both the United States and China.
