Seoul's new river ferry, the Hangang Bus, will resume operations a month after its service was suspended due to multiple mechanical and electrical defects.

The city announced Friday that the ferry will resume service at 9 a.m. on Saturday and operate 16 times a day at 90-minute intervals, seven days a week.

The city government plans to maintain the ferry schedule until March 2026, when it will expand to 32 trips a day and introduce express routes to accommodate commuters.

The vessel began operating on a 28-point-nine-kilometer route linking Seoul's western Magok to its eastern Jamsil area on September 18.

The two-hour regular route from Magok to Jamsil costs around three-thousand won for adults, or two U.S. dollars and 10 cents.
