The presidential office said denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula will be on the agenda of the South Korea-China summit scheduled for Saturday during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) summit in Gyeongju.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said on Friday that talks between President Lee Jae Myung and Chinese President Xi Jinping will focus on resolving bread-and-butter issues, with public livelihoods as the top priority.

To that end, the two sides agreed to discuss ways to realize denuclearization and peace on the peninsula.

When asked about China's decision to sanction South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean's five U.S. subsidiaries, the spokesperson said further details would be disclosed following Saturday's summit.
