The government has issued a travel warning for some parts of Indonesia, citing bloody ethnic conflicts in the region.

The Foreign Ministry announced Thursday it had issued the travel warning following the declaring of a state of emergency in Indonesia's restive northern province of Aceh after violence erupted between local Muslims and Christians.

The Ministry also included Kosovo on its list of countries where Korean travelers are advised to exercise caution, citing possible bloody conflict between different ethnic groups ahead of next month's general elections.
