Senior Russian and North Korean military officials met in Pyongyang to discuss expanding cooperation between their military-political agencies.

In a Telegram statement Saturday, the Russian Defence Ministry said North Korean Defense Minister No Kwang-chol had met Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin, who also heads the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian armed forces.

According to the ministry, Goremykin emphasized that the fraternal relationship between Russia and North Korea is growing across multiple fields, including defense.

The North Korean defense chief said the visit of the Russian military delegation strengthens the brotherhood between the two militaries and promotes cooperation between their military-political institutions.

The Russian military delegation, led by Goremykin, visited Pyongyang from Wednesday to Friday of last week.
