The International Conference for National Human Rights Institutions ended a four-day run on Friday in Seoul.

This year's conference attended by some 180 delegates was the largest ever, drawing the participation of dignitaries like Louise Arbour, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Human right leaders from some 70 countries discussed the topic of 'human rights in the context of conflicts and the war against terrorism', and adopted the Seoul Declaration on the conference's last day.

The statement calls on nations to implement human rights protection measures on a governmental level, and on national human right agencies to facilitate regional cooperation.
