The 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT), known in Korean as the Suneung, is underway at approximately one-thousand-300 test sites nationwide.

More than 554-thousand people applied to take Thursday's state-administered college entrance exam, up about 31-thousand from the previous year.

More than 371-thousand are high school seniors, accounting for 67-point-one percent of all applicants and a nine-point-one percent jump from a year earlier.

The exam began with the Korean language section at 8:40 a.m., followed by math, English, Korean history, science, and a foreign language.

The CSAT is set to end at 5:45 p.m.

Results will be released on December 5.
