The top diplomats of North Korea and Laos reportedly met on Wednesday to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties and cooperation.
The North’s state Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported on Thursday that North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui had met with her Laotian counterpart, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, the previous day at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang.
In the meeting, the two sides reportedly discussed implementing the agreements their leaders reached in October and strengthening their traditional friendship.
The KCNA said that the two discussed mutual support and cooperation on the international stage and reached a consensus.
The discussion appears to have covered topics such as Laos' support for North Korea on the international stage and the expansion of bilateral exchanges.
North Korea and Laos established diplomatic relations in June 1974 and have maintained dialogue as socialist countries.
