The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and other ministries discussed follow-up measures to trade-related agreements reached during negotiations with the United States.

The industry ministry said on Monday that it had convened a meeting of the ministries of finance, foreign affairs, agriculture, science and defense at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul.

The meeting, chaired by the country’s chief trade negotiator, Yeo Han-koo, focused on the implementation of trade-related agreements outlined in a joint fact sheet released on Friday. 

The ministry shared details of the agreements and reviewed each ministry's follow-up responsibilities.

Following Monday's discussions, the trade ministry plans to convene a meeting of the South Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement Joint Committee with the U.S. Trade Representative in December to discuss concrete implementation plans.
