South Korean business leaders accompanying Pres. Roh are scheduled to meet their Russian counterparts Wednesday for talks on expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
Some two hundred leading business figures of the two countries will attend the meeting in Moscow.
The Federation of Korean Industries says the meeting will focus on promoting cooperation in joint energy and resources development projects as well as in the automobile sector.
South Korean business figures are hoping that the talks will lay the groundwork for the two countries' economic cooperation to move beyond a hitherto trade-centered relationship to include large-scale joint projects in the fields of energy, construction, information and technology, electronics, petrochemicals, textiles and automobiles.
Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee, LG Chairman Koo Bon-moo and Hyundai Motor Chairman Chung Mong-koo are on the 51-member South Korean business delegation accompanying Pres. Roh.
