Dry air and strong winds will grip the east coast on Friday, with fire danger running high across the mountains of Gangwon Province and northeastern North Gyeongsang Province.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, skies will be partly cloudy nationwide, and Jeju may see brief light rain from early morning to sunrise.

Morning temperatures will range from minus four to seven degrees, including one degree in Seoul, little changed from today.

Daytime highs will hold between 10 and 15 degrees—two to three degrees lower than Thursday, but still in the double digits.

Gusts exceeding 15 meters per second are expected in the dry coastal and mountain zones of Gangwon and North Gyeongsang, heightening wildfire risk.

Waves of two to three meters will develop over the central and northern offshore waters of the East Sea.
