A data breach at Coupang has exposed the personal information of approximately four-thousand-500 customers.

The e-commerce giant informed customers on Thursday that an unauthorized third party had gained access to their personal data, including names, email addresses, delivery addresses, telephone numbers and most recent orders.

Coupang said it had cut off the unidentified actor's access immediately after detecting the breach on Tuesday, adding that it has not yet found evidence that the stolen data has been used.

Coupang apologized for the incident and urged users to beware of scam texts and calls from users impersonating the company.

Coupang reported the data breach to related authorities, including the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Internet & Security Agency, and the Personal Information Protection Commission.
