N. Korea Vows Not to Dismantle Nuclear Weapons Program

North Korea has declared that it will never give up its nuclear weapons program.

In its Monday editorial, the North Korean Workers' Party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, also denounced nuclear experiments conducted by South Korea in the past while accusing Washington of applying a double standard towards the two Koreas.

The paper claimed it was self-evident that Pyongyang could not dismantle its nuclear weapons program, considering the U.S. double standard towards South and North Korea on the nuclear issue.

The paper also said the U.S. had tried to use the six-nation nuclear talks to disarm the North rather than promoting the denuclearization of the Korean Penensula.
