President Lee Jae Myung has returned home from a ten-day, four-country trip across the Middle East and Africa.

Lee landed at the Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, returning from Ankara after a two-day state visit to Turkiye.

During the visit, Lee held a 100-minute summit with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the two nations adopted a joint statement pledging to deepen their partnership.

The two leaders outlined a broad set of cooperative initiatives ahead of their 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2027.

Both sides agreed to continue joint production, technology collaboration and training exchanges in the defense industry.

They also signed memorandums of understanding, solidifying cooperation in nuclear energy, infrastructure and veterans affairs.

During the ten-day tour, Lee also visited the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and South Africa for the Group of 20 summit.
