The National Tax Service(NTS) has selected 12 Korean alcoholic beverages made by local small businesses that will receive government support in entering overseas markets.

The tax agency announced the selection Tuesday during the 2025 K-Suul Award held at the Sejong Convention Center. In Korean, "Suul" refers to alcoholic beverages.

The selected products will have official NTS certification marks on them and receive the agency's support in export channels, including display and sales at stores of key distributors abroad.

The K-Suul Award, which was held for the first time this year, was created to raise awareness of Korean alcoholic beverages and reduce South Korea's liquor trade deficit of more than one trillion won, or about 681 million U.S. dollars.

The 12 products were chosen among three-hundred-66 alcoholic beverages submitted by one-hundred-75 small and medium-sized businesses.
