Nearly 2,000 Reports Filed to Seoul Police of Snow Problems

Seoul police say roughly two-thousand reports related to traffic inconvenience were filed between Thursday evening and Friday morning after sudden heavy snowfall hit the capital area on Thursday evening.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said a total of one-thousand-981 reports were filed between 6 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday. 

Of that total, 442 pertained to traffic, including one-hundred-66 reports of car accidents. One-thousand-444 preventative reports also came in.

More than 19-hundred reports related to inconvenience from snowfall were filed in the northern parts of Gyeonggi Province.

According to the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police, one-thousand-902 reports were filed between 5 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday. 

The cases included one-thousand-87 related to traffic inconvenience, 732 to snow removal and 83 to car accidents.
