Police raided the Seoul headquarters of e-commerce giant Coupang after a recent data breach impacted 33-point-seven million customers.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency sent 17 investigators to Coupang's headquarters in Seoul's Songpa District on Tuesday to obtain documents related to the leak.

The police intend to reveal the facts in the case, including the perpetrator, the channel, and the cause of the breach, based on the digital evidence obtained.

Coupang filed a complaint to the police regarding the incident on November 25, and the police questioned company officials three days later.

The government estimates that the data, such as usernames, phone numbers, addresses and delivery details, were compromised starting on June 24.
