Fire authorities are putting out a fire that broke out at the Taean Thermal Power Plant in South Chungcheong Province on Tuesday.

Fire authorities received a 119 call at around 2:43 p.m. about blazes and blast sounds in the plant's back gate. 

Two workers were transported to the hospital. They are said to have not suffered any life-threatening injuries. 

Police and fire authorities believe that the fire resulted from a gas explosion on the first floor of the plant's building. 

Authorities are trying to confirm any casualties as evacuation of plant workers are under way.
