Multiple Russian and Chinese military planes entered the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone(KADIZ) over the seas off the eastern and southern coasts on Tuesday morning.

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), seven Russian and two Chinese aircraft entered KADIZ around 10:35 a.m. and remained in the area for roughly an hour.

The JCS was quick to add that there had been no violation of South Korean airspace.

The JCS said it had confirmed that four of the seven Russian planes flew southward between Ulleung Island and Dokdo and that two of those planes crossed paths with Chinese planes near Japan's Tsushima Island.

The last time Russian and Chinese military aircraft jointly entered KADIZ was on November 29 of last year.
