Police raided the Seoul headquarters of e-commerce giant Coupang for the second day in a row after a data breach exposed information on more than 33 million people.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency resumed the search and seizure at Coupang's headquarters in Seoul's Songpa District around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators searched the offices for approximately ten hours on Tuesday under a warrant accusing a Chinese former employee of trespassing and divulging secrets under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.

The police are tracking down the suspect based on the IP address used in the data breach and investigating technical weaknesses in Coupang's management of customer information.

The investigators also plan to reveal the facts of the case, including the channel and the cause of the breach, based on the digital evidence obtained.
