Light rain or snow of less than five millimeters is expected late Friday and into the weekend along the east coast of North Gyeongsang Province, as well as in Busan and Ulsan.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain or snow is expected on Saturday across most of the country, with heavy snowfall forecast mainly in central inland areas.

The greater Seoul area could see two to seven centimeters of snow, with some areas receiving up to ten centimeters.

Snowfall may exceed ten centimeters in the Chungcheong region and Jeju’s mountainous areas, and inland Gangwon Province could receive more than 15 centimeters.

Starting late Saturday afternoon, snowfall of one to three centimeters per hour is possible in central regions, increasing the likelihood of heavy snow advisories.

Snow or rain may continue into Sunday in parts of the Chungcheong region and southern inland areas.

Sea conditions will be rough, with waves hitting two to four meters.
