The leaders of South Korea and Laos held a summit in Seoul, during which they oversaw the signing of two treaties on online scams and other transnational crimes.

Following their summit at the presidential office in Seoul's Yongsan District on Monday, President Lee Jae Myung and Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith attended a ceremony to sign the treaties on criminal justice coordination and extradition.

The two sides' labor ministries also signed a renewal agreement to the memorandum of understanding(MOU) aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation on their labor forces.

During their summit, the leaders also agreed to elevate the bilateral relationship to a comprehensive partnership, marking this year's 30th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic ties.

The Laotian leader arrived on Sunday for a two-day official trip.
