Speed Skating Star Kim Min-sun Wins First World Cup Medal of Season

South Korean speed skater Kim Min-sun clinched bronze at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Hamar, Norway, on Sunday.

Kim finished third in the women's 500 meters in 37-point-835 seconds, claiming her first medal of the season and her first top-five finish.

She came in close behind Poland's Kaja Ziomek-Nogal, who clocked 37-point-831 seconds for second place. Japan's Yukino Yoshida won the gold medal with a time of 37-point-65 seconds. 

Kim, who added 48 points with her latest finish, has accumulated 222 points in total to stand at 11th in the World Cup rankings.
 
Fellow South Korean Lee Na-hyun finished the race in fourth place with a time of 37-point-91 seconds and placed fourth overall with 254 points.
