Police raided the office of special counsel Min Joong-ki, who has been accused of carrying out a biased investigation into various political figures and the Unification Church.

The National Police Agency sent investigators to Min's office in central Seoul at around 10 a.m. Tuesday to secure materials related to the investigation.

The raid came just one day after police conducted wide-ranging searches at ten locations, including the Unification Church’s headquarters in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, and offices in Seoul.

Police also plan to meet with Unification Church leader Han Hak-ja on Wednesday at Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province.

Police previously attempted to question Han during a raid of the detention center on Monday, but the attempt fell through after Han’s side objected, citing the need for meetings with her legal counsel ahead of trial.
