Seven people were buried in a collapse at a subway construction site near Yeouido Station.

According to the Yeongdeungpo police and first responders on Thursday, they received calls saying that an accident occurred at the Sinansan Line passageway near Exit 2 of the Yeouido Station at around 1:22 p.m., saying people are trapped underneath collapsed steel structures.

They believe seven people were buried in the rubble, one of whom was rescued in cardiac arrest and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Authorities are working to locate and rescue the remaining workers.
