Sunny skies are forecast for the capital area and Gangwon Province on Sunday, and cloudy skies elsewhere are likely to clear up in the late afternoon.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, temperatures on Sunday are expected to be five to ten degrees Celsius lower than on Saturday.

Mercury levels next week are likely to fluctuate, with morning lows on Monday to range between minus nine degrees and plus one degree, and with daytime highs between four and 13 degrees.

Lows on Tuesday are to range from minus three to plus eight degrees, and highs should rise to between five and 15 degrees.

Rain is also expected in the capital area and parts of the Gangwon, Chungcheong and Jeolla regions Tuesday afternoon, before spreading throughout the country by Wednesday.
