President Lee Jae Myung began work at Cheong Wa Dae on Monday, his first official day at the former presidential compound.

Lee arrived at the compound by car at around 9:10 a.m. and entered the main building to start his schedule.

His first day there comes one‑thousand‑three‑hundred‑thirty days after former President Moon Jae‑in last reported to work at the site on May 9, 2022.

Lee is scheduled to begin the day with a morning tea meeting with aides before visiting the National Crisis Management Center to review security preparedness.

At midnight Sunday, the phoenix flag symbolizing the head of state was raised at the compound, and the official name of the presidential office was restored to "Cheong Wa Dae."
