The parliamentary committee on national defense plans to pay a visit to South Korea's Zaitun unit deployed in the Northern Iraqi city of Irbil for its rehabilitation mission in the war-torn state.

The five-member delegation including ruling and opposition party lawmakers will leave Seoul on October 30th for a five-day trip to Iraq.

During their visit, the legislators will encourage the soldiers, check up on safety measures against possible terrorist attacks and also meet with senior officials of the Kurdish Regional Government to seek their support and cooperation.
