President Lee Jae Myung wrapped up his stay in Beijing and departed for Shanghai on Tuesday as part of his three-day state visit to China.

Lee left for Shanghai at around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday from the Beijing Capital International Airport .

In Shanghai, the president is scheduled to have dinner with Chen Jining, the city’s Communist Party secretary and a leading contender for China’s next presidency.

On Wednesday, Lee will attend the Korea-China Venture Startup Summit before visiting a building that housed the Provisional Government of Korea.
