In Lausanne, Switzerland, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has ended without a decision its hearing on an appeal from South Korean gymnast Yang Tae-young. American Paul Hamm also appeared at the hearing.

The general secretary of the sports body said a decision will be made within two weeks.

The South Korean gymnast was unfairly deprived of the gold and awarded the bronze medal in the men's all-around event at the Athens Olympics last month because of a scoring error. Yang insists international gymnastics officials should be overruled, and reorder the rankings and give him the gold medal and the American the silver.

Hamm and the U.S. Olympic Committee argued he should keep his gold medal despite a challenge from the bronze medalist.

A scoring mistake was made at the games, but the International Gymnastics Federation has refused to change the results, arguing that South Korea didn't file a protest in time.
