The thick fine dust that has blanketed most parts of the country is set to gradually lift, starting Saturday morning.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, thick fog is set to limit visibility to one kilometer between Friday night and the early hours of Saturday in the central region and some southern areas.

Slight rain or snow is expected for the Seoul metro area and South Chungcheong Province overnight.

Warmer temperatures are expected for the weekend, with the mercury set to stand above zero degrees Celsius during the day.

Morning lows will stand between minus seven and plus six degrees, including minus four in Seoul.

Afternoon highs will range between two and 14 degrees, including three degrees in the capital.
